Discover the art of Stuart Norman

Stuart Norman is a Scottish borders artist who specializes in landscape art. His process involves creating observational sketches and then building layers, line, and texture using mixed media and collage techniques in his studio. He works mainly in Acrylics, but has previously worked with oils and watercolour, although not at the same time!

He has attended Leith School of Art, Edinburgh and Paintbox Art School, Cockenzie and Port Seton

Exhibitions and Awards

He has exhibited at the Borders Art Fair, Smailholm village exhibitions, Allanbank Arts Open Exhibitions, Art at Ancrum and Affordable Art Exhibitions. He was short listed in the RBS "views of Edinburgh" competition in 2016. In 2019 exhibited with the landlines group The Union gallery, Edinburgh, and at Gallery Natami Edinburgh festival exhibition. He was a wildcard on "landscape Artist of the Year" in 2023.He has exhibited in the 2024 Summer exhibitions at Hastings First gallery, Coldstream, and at the Humbie Hub, Humbie. His work is available currently at the number four gallery, st. abbs

He lives in Kelso with his wife.
